Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you buy from WPL Trading through www.wpltrading.com, by phone or by WhatsApp. Placing an order means you accept them. Last updated: September 2026.

Prices and availability

All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Hardware prices move with supplier costs and the exchange rate, so the price on the site is the price at the time you look at it and may change without notice. Stock shown online is our best information, but a line can sell out in the shop before the website updates. If something you ordered is unavailable we will call you and either offer an alternative or refund that item.

Your order

An order placed on the site is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm the order by phone, WhatsApp or email. We may decline an order — for example where the price or description was clearly wrong, where the quantity is beyond what we can supply, or where we cannot deliver to the address given.

Product information

We describe products as accurately as we can, using the manufacturer’s information. Photographs are a guide: colours, packaging and minor design details can differ between batches. Measurements given in inches and millimetres are nominal trade sizes. If you need an exact specification, call us before ordering and we will check the stock in hand.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by weather, courier delays and road conditions. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check the goods when they arrive — see our Refund & Returns Policy and Delivery & Payment page.

Returns

Returns are covered by our Refund & Returns Policy. In short: we replace or refund items that arrive damaged, faulty or wrong, if you tell us within 48 hours.

Warranty and safe use

Manufacturer warranties apply to power tools, pumps and electrical goods; your invoice is the warranty document. Tools, chemicals and electrical goods must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and by someone competent to use them. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or use of an item for a purpose it was not made for.

Our liability

Nothing here limits any right you have under Sri Lankan consumer law. Beyond that, our responsibility for any order is limited to the value of the goods in that order.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is being used fraudulently.

Content on this site

The text, photographs and design of this website belong to WPL Trading, except for manufacturer images and brand names, which belong to their owners. Please do not copy the site’s content for commercial use without asking us.

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
