Water Tank & Pump Prices in Sri Lanka
Water tanks and house pumps at WPL Trading run from about Rs 2,000 to Rs 44,500, depending on the tank capacity or the pump rating. The prices below come out of our stock system as the page loads, so they are current.
We stock S-Lon and Arpico tanks in the common household sizes, and pumps in the ratings most Sri Lankan houses use.

Picking the right size
For a tank, the rough rule most people here work to is the number of people in the house and how often the line runs dry. A small family on a reliable line manages on 550–750 L; a family of five or six, or anywhere the water cuts off regularly, is usually happier on 1000 L or more. For a pump, the deciding factors are how high the water has to go and how many taps run at once — not just horsepower. The water pump guide covers 0.5, 0.75 and 1 HP and who each one suits, and it is also available in Sinhala.
Common questions
Does the tank price include fittings?
No. The tank price is the tank. Inlet and outlet fittings, the float valve and the connecting pipe are priced separately — we will list them out for you when you order.
Do you deliver tanks?
Yes. Tanks are bulky rather than heavy, so delivery is quoted by where it is going. For jobs close to Dummaladeniya we usually run them out on our own vehicle.
What do I need to have ready before the tank arrives?
A flat, fully supported base that carries the whole bottom of the tank — not a few blocks under the edges. A full 1000 L tank weighs over a tonne, so the base matters more than people expect. The sizing guide has more on this.
