An 8 × 4 ft aluminium sheet, 0.7 mm thick. The middle grade and the most commonly used — stiff enough for panels and covers, still light enough to cut with snips and bend by hand.
Aluminium does not rust, which is why it is used for outdoor cladding, kitchen and food-area panels, ducting and anywhere near the coast where steel sheet would not last.
It cuts with aviation snips or a fine-tooth blade, and it bends cleanly — but it work-hardens, so a bend that is straightened and re-bent will crack.
Sheet materials travel by lorry rather than courier, so transport is quoted with the order. Send the sizes and quantity through Request a Quote or call +94 71 302 4843.
