A Spear & Jackson hand saw in 20″ and 22″ lengths — from the British toolmaker that has been making saws since 1760.
The teeth are induction-hardened, which means they stay sharp far longer than a plain steel saw but cannot be re-filed — you use it until it is done rather than sharpening it.
Start the cut on the pull stroke with your thumb guiding the blade, then let the length of the saw do the work. Forcing a hand saw makes it wander, not cut faster.
