Würth HSS 2000 is a high-pressure-resistant synthetic lubricating oil. The point of it is adhesion: it stays on the metal under load instead of being squeezed out, which is what ordinary oils do on chains, open gears and slides.
Used on chains, sprockets, cables, hinges, linkages and any open mechanism that carries load and cannot hold a grease.
Clean the surface first — oil over grit grinds. Spray a light film and let it creep in.
