Non Return Valve S – Lon 1 (1 Inch)

An S-Lon 1″ non-return valve (check valve) — it lets water pass one way and closes if the flow reverses.

On a pump line it holds the water in the suction pipe so the pump stays primed, and it stops the tank draining back when the pump stops. On a mains line it stops stored water flowing back into the supply.

It must be fitted the right way round — the arrow on the body shows the direction of flow. Fitted backwards it simply blocks the line.
