A Xiao paint brush in the 2 inch width. Two inches is the size most people buy first. It cuts in a clean edge along a ceiling line, and it still covers a door or a window frame at a reasonable pace.
Brush size is about control, not speed: a wide brush loads more paint but a narrow one gives you the edge. Most painters keep two or three widths and swap as the work changes.
Wash the brush out properly in the right solvent — water for emulsion, thinner for enamel — and it will keep its shape for years. Xiao brushes are stocked in 1″, 1.5″, 2″ and 3″, alongside the Ravi Classic, Smart and Easy ranges. Stocked at WPL Trading, No. 305, Kandy Road, Warakapola, with island-wide delivery.
